READY OR NOT....IT'S CHRISTMAS IN JULY!
BE SURE TO INVITE YOUR FRIENDS AND SPOUSES. YES - Our legendary "Christmas in July" party on July 23 is around the corner. Our July meeting is one of our most important fundraising events for the Children's Advocacy Center. We will have great baskets for the raffle, "Guess the amount of Moolah in the jar", and a 50/50 raffle. Please note that the card bingo game won't be played in July this year, but at an upcoming meeting.
This event is so successful year after year because of our generous members. We are requesting donations for the basket raffle and other activities. We are in need of donated baskets, which will be needed by June 27. Bring them to the meeting and load them right into one of the board member's cars in the parking lot. If you need help with creating a basket, Patrice De Haven, one of our members, will design and make it for you based on your budget. Call her at 703-973-6300 or email her at patrice@carriedawaygifts.com.
We are also in need of new or gently used items, which you can also bring to the June meeting. Items can also be dropped off at Lu's house (5342 Butterfly Court - Legacy) after June 20. All items must be received by July 12, however.

SUPER NEWS:
International Women's Golf Day
In May, the Arlington Ridge Golf Club hosted "Women's Golf Day", which spans five continents, eight countries, and 1,350 locations. Anna Capozzoli and Phyllis Ginn, members of LCWA organized the highly successful Leesburg event. LCWA was selected to receive the proceeds from this event. Phyllis presented us a check in the amount of $2,973.90 at our June meeting. We extend to them our biggest gratitude for supporting LCWA in this huge way!
IMPORTANT MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT!
Meetings are normally held the fourth Thursday of the month with the exception of November and December. The dates for these two months are November 12 and December 10.
